With chemistry projects evolving dynamically, and with personnel often changing as quickly as new developments in chemistry, it’s critical that knowledge transfer is efficient. Given the dynamic nature of pharma and biotechs, sometimes project work must move between sites or from one CRO to another. The visibility provided by Torx at each stage of the Design Make Test Analyze (DMTA) process, and the seamless way the Torx modules work together, allows projects to successfully transfer from one organization to another with minimal interruption of what is otherwise a massively disruptive process.
The accessibility and organisation of data within Torx speeds up the production of data packages. The Audit Log in Torx Design tracks the origins of each molecule, including any witnesses involved. And with Torx being chemistry-aware, searching for this information is easy. With integration to in-house or even third-party tools, Torx can pull all required information into one place for rapid documentation completion. Torx Make’s synthesis tracking functionality can be linked to Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) pages which are used to manually capture routes and yields - both in-house and when the synthesis is completed by external partners - again aiding data package write-ups.
Toxicology studies and generation of biological assay results are of paramount importance, and those studies can be submitted, tracked, and prioritized using Torx Test. Once results are available the relevant data can be attached to the Design Set, keeping it in one place for transparency and facile retrieval, and enabling hypotheses and all associated ideas to be collated in one place, so the progression and status of the project is available at a glance.

In a project's lifetime (which can number many years), staff turnover can compromize project continuity. When personnel leave, the Torx platform provides critical knowledge transfer across all aspects of the DMTA cycle.
